The Federation - long opposed to religious practice - ends up embracing religion in the end, with the added satiric caveat that “ A: God exists, B: He’s on our side, and C: He wants us to win.” While more ambitious and infinitely smarter than the other sequel installments, for Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, this high-mindedness results in some pretty dodgy pacing. While this might seem controversial at first, the film handles the topic in an even-handed way, looking at how a state can utilize religion in both positive and negative ways. The live-action sequel also features some really cool mech-suits towards the end, as well as a few decent moments of Starship Trooper s' signature satire.
